Is it normal for girls not to have dysmenorrhea?

It is normal for girls not to have menstrual cramps, which is actually a lucky state. Dysmenorrhea is an uncomfortable symptom that many women often experience during menstruation, but not everyone will have dysmenorrhea. In fact, there is nothing physiologically abnormal about women who do not have menstrual cramps. It is just an individual difference.

When discussing dysmenorrhea, we usually think of two types: primary dysmenorrhea and secondary dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea refers to dysmenorrhea without obvious genital lesions, usually occurring within a few years after puberty, and may be related to increased levels of endometrial prostaglandins. Secondary dysmenorrhea is often caused by pelvic diseases such as endometriosis or uterine fibroids.

For those girls who don't have dysmenorrhea, it may be because their prostaglandin levels are lower or their bodies are less sensitive to these chemicals. This is just like some people can't sleep after drinking coffee, while others can fall asleep peacefully. They are all different responses of the body to external stimuli.

Women who don’t have dysmenorrhea may feel more relaxed in their lives because they don’t have to endure the pain every month. However, having dysmenorrhea does not affect a woman’s fertility or health. In fact, some women find that their dysmenorrhea symptoms improve after giving birth, because pregnancy and childbirth may change the structure of the uterus and pelvis.

If you are a girl who does not have dysmenorrhea, congratulations! This means that your body may be relatively "easy" in this regard. However, if you suddenly experience symptoms of dysmenorrhea, or other abnormal changes in your menstrual cycle, it is recommended to see a doctor to rule out potential health problems. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, paying attention to diet and exercise, can also help maintain a good physiological state.
