The King of Herbs, American Ginseng, Can Effectively Relieve Cancer Fatigue

In traditional Chinese medicine, ginseng is known as "the first of all medicines and the king of all herbs". It has been used in large quantities as a medicine more than 2,000 years ago. It is the best remedy for replenishing qi and strengthening the body. To this day, Chinese and foreign scholars are still constantly discovering the wonderful uses of ginseng. American scholars recently published a study pointing out that "American Ginseng" can effectively reduce fatigue in cancer patients without leaving any sequelae.

The British Daily Mail reported on the 4th that Debra Barton, a researcher at the Mayo Medical Cancer Center in the United States, conducted a survey on 340 cancer patients of varying degrees, 60% of whom had breast cancer. The subjects were divided into two groups and took a placebo or 2,000 mg (milligrams) of American ginseng powder daily during the experiment. After 4 weeks, there was no significant difference, but after 8 weeks, the subjects taking American ginseng powder clearly felt that their spirits had improved, and the fatigue and tiredness symptoms caused by cancer cells subsided by nearly 20%, and no other sequelae were observed.

The reason why cancer patients feel tired is that cancer cells promote the proliferation of inflammatory cytokines in the immune system and the secretion disorder of the stress hormone "cortisol". The "ginsenoside" in American ginseng can solve these two symptoms at the same time. Its herbal ingredients will not cause excessive burden on the human body, and it is very suitable for daily conditioning or chronic treatment.

Ginseng can be roughly divided into "Chinese ginseng", "Korean ginseng", "Oriental ginseng" (Japan) and "American ginseng" (North America) according to their origin and variety. In addition to different colors, they also have different properties. People must first understand their own physical condition when purchasing, otherwise taking it incorrectly will have the opposite effect. This experiment only studied American ginseng, but whether ginseng produced in Asia has similar effects remains to be seen.
