Dietary taboos for uterine leiomyoma What can you eat for uterine leiomyoma

Uterine fibroids are the number one disease for women and seriously endanger women's health. Experts say that after suffering from uterine fibroids, women will eat desperately, thinking that life will be better this way. In fact, patients with uterine fibroids must pay more attention to their diet.

So, what are the dietary taboos for women with uterine fibroids?

1. Avoid spicy food

(1) Some patients with dysmenorrhea have heavy menstrual flow. Eating spicy, warm, or irritating foods can aggravate pelvic congestion, inflammation, or excessive contraction of the uterine muscles, aggravating dysmenorrhea. Therefore, patients with dysmenorrhea should try not to eat spicy foods.

(2) Spicy foods: chili, pepper, garlic, onion, ginger, leek, chicken soup, durian seasoning, etc.

2. Avoid acid

(1) Acidic foods have astringent effects, which can cause blood to stagnate and hinder the smooth flow and discharge of menstrual blood. Therefore, patients with dysmenorrhea should try to avoid consuming such foods during menstruation.

(2) Acidic foods: rice vinegar, hot and sour vegetables, pickles, pomegranates, green plums, bayberries, strawberries, star fruits, cherries, sour dates, mangoes, apricots, plums, lemons, etc.

3. Avoid cold

(1) Women with poor gastrointestinal function should avoid eating cold food before and during menstruation, as cold food can aggravate dysmenorrhea.

(2) Cool foods: cold drinks, cold dishes, crabs, snails, clam meat, leeches, pears, persimmons, watermelons, bananas, bitter melon, mangosteen, mung beans, cucumbers, chestnuts, grapefruits, oranges, etc.

4. Avoid heat

Longan, red dates, donkey-hide gelatin, royal jelly and other foods that are hot, blood-clotting and contain hormones will aggravate dysmenorrhea.
