If a woman suffers from pelvic peritonitis, the harm is very great. Pelvic peritonitis has a great impact on women's work and life. Therefore, for everyone to live and work healthier, it is recommended that you treat pelvic peritonitis as soon as possible. In order to allow everyone to better treat pelvic peritonitis, preoperative examination is very important! Next, gynecological experts will introduce the examinations that need to be done for pelvic peritonitis as follows.

1. Laparoscopy: Laparoscopy is suitable for patients with pelvic peritonitis or suspected pelvic peritonitis and other acute abdominal diseases. Laparoscopy can not only make a clear diagnosis and differential diagnosis, but also make a preliminary judgment on the degree of pelvic peritonitis. It is a very effective examination method.

2. Posterior fornix puncture: The abdominal contents or uterine rectal fossa contents obtained by puncture, such as normal peritoneal fluid, blood, purulent secretions or pus, can further clarify the diagnosis. Microscopic examination and culture of the puncture material are very necessary. This examination is one of the most commonly used and valuable diagnostic methods for gynecological acute abdomen.

3. Ultrasound examination: This examination mainly involves B-type or grayscale ultrasound scanning and filming. This technology is accurate in identifying masses or abscesses formed by adhesions of the fallopian tubes, ovaries and intestinal tract. However, it is difficult to show the characteristics of mild or moderate pelvic peritonitis in B-type ultrasound images.

4. Physical examination: Patients with pelvic peritonitis present with acute illness, elevated body temperature, accelerated heart rate, abdominal distension, and tenderness in the lower abdomen. When the lesion spreads to the abdominal cavity, peritoneal stimulation is positive, the whole abdomen has tenderness, rebound pain, and muscle tension, and bowel sounds weaken or disappear.

5. Examination of male partners: This examination is helpful for the diagnosis of female pelvic peritonitis. Take male urethral secretions for direct smear staining or culture of gonococci. If positive, it is strong evidence, especially for those who are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms. Or a large number of white blood cells may be found.
