Is cervical erosion contagious?

Cervical erosion is a very common gynecological disease. The incidence rate of this disease is very high, and it is very harmful to the patient's health. Therefore, we must pay attention to the cause of this disease. Will this disease be contagious after it occurs? We all want to know. Let's take a detailed look at the causes of cervical erosion so that we can do a good job in preventing this disease.

The cause may be excessive cleaning by women. There are many cleaning products on the market, and many women pay too much attention to personal hygiene and use vaginal washing solutions for a long time. It should be noted that if the choice is inappropriate and a higher concentration of disinfectant is used to wash the vagina, it will damage the environment of the vagina itself, affect the growth of normal flora, and reduce the internal resistance of the vagina, thereby causing bacterial invasion, causing varying degrees of cervical epithelial damage, and ultimately leading to cervical erosion.

Many artificial abortions are accepted by people because of the unhealthy premarital sex, and the incidence of unexpected pregnancy has also increased. Therefore, artificial abortions and curettage are no longer unfamiliar to female friends. However, multiple artificial abortions, diagnostic curettage, cervical dilation and other gynecological surgeries will damage the cervix or cause inflammation, eventually causing cervical erosion.

1. The cause of cervical erosion is related to inflammation and endocrine disorders, especially high estrogen levels. Some long-term inflammation can easily lead to cervical erosion. Cervical erosion is easily ignored because more than 1/3 of patients lack obvious symptoms and are only discovered during doctor's examination. Even if there are symptoms, most of them are mild, mainly a small amount of bright red spotting, or a small amount of bleeding after sexual intercourse.

2. There is a layer of mucous membrane on the surface of the cervical canal. Due to the long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation, the cervical canal mucosa continues to proliferate and accumulate, and protrude from the basal layer of the mucosa to the external opening of the cervix, thus forming polyps. The roots of polyps are mostly attached to the inside of the cervical canal or the external opening of the cervix. They are generally small, with a diameter of less than 1 cm, single or multiple. There are also larger ones, with a diameter of several centimeters, with pedicles, and protruding outside the cervical opening as they grow. Small polyps remain in the cervical canal and only slightly appear at the cervical opening.

3. The cause of cervical erosion is also related to factors such as sexual life and childbirth. Married women account for more than 98% of patients. Because more than one-third of patients have no obvious symptoms, even if there is inflammation, most of them are very mild, and vaginal bleeding is only a little bit, so cervical erosion is easily ignored by people. Some patients have symptoms of bleeding after sexual intercourse or strenuous exercise or even increased abdominal pressure. Other patients may have yellow leucorrhea, often with a strange smell, or leucorrhea with blood.

Now we have introduced the specific causes of cervical erosion to you. Everyone also knows that there are many reasons, but this disease is not contagious. In order to avoid the trouble of this disease, everyone should have a reasonable and healthy diet and have a good living habit, which can help us reduce the incidence of cervical erosion and keep us healthy.
